Jessica Z. Bowling, LCPC, NCC (Not Accepting Clients)
Jessica founded Chesapeake South Therapeutic Group LLC in February of 2016 with the motivation to provide essential mental health services to our local community.  Jessica received her Bachelors at University of Maryland, Baltimore County and went on to earned her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. Her professional experience includes nonprofit organizations/ community mental health centers and private practice with experience treating a wide variety of client concerns, such as martial/couples conflict, anxiety, depression and adjustment to life stressors.  Jessica also provides professional supervision to graduate therapists.  
Melanie Barry, LCPC (Not Accepting New Clients)
Belinda Anderson, LCSW-C (Not Accepting New Clients)
Melanie began working at Chesapeake South in March 2017. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College. Melanie then graduated from Johns Hopkins University with her Masters Degree in Clinical Community Counseling. Her experience includes working with those with addiction, as well as diverse mental health concerns in an outpatient setting. Melanie enjoys working with all age groups, with a focus on children and adolescents.  Melanie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Board Approved Supervisor through the state of Maryland. 
​Belinda began working at Chesapeake South in March 2017.  Belinda is a Certified Clinical Social Worker who received her Bachelors at St. Mary's College of Maryland and received her Masters in Clinical Social Work at University of Maryland.  She has had extensive experience providing therapy to individuals, couples and families.  She has worked in public and private outpatient mental health programs, as well as in inpatient behavioral health programs as a medical social worker.  She has worked with various issues related to stress, past abuse, coping with loss, marital conflict, family conflict and adjustment to illness.  She has been an educator for residents in substance abuse treatment and their families as they travel along their journey of recovery.  Belinda currently works with young adults to the elderly.  Belinda also provides clinical supervision to graduate therapists.
Anni Christensen LCPC, CAC-AD, ACS (Not Accepting New Clients)
Anni began working at Chesapeake South in September 2022. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She graduated from California Southern University in 2016 with a Masters in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. She has worked in residential treatment facilities, outpatient programs, detention center and Department of Social Services. She has experience working with various issues such as adjustment to life stressors, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance abuse, PTSD and ADD/ADHD. 
Special interests include Infertility and Adoption concerns and Cultural Integration issues.

Elisa, one of our newest team members, has brought over 7 years of invaluable experience to Chesapeake South since joining us in October 2023. Her dynamic background includes roles as a case manager, school social worker, juvenile court educator, and therapist. With a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Concordia College NY and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Elisa is well-versed in her field. She continually hones her skills through specialized training in Internal Family Systems Theory, Collaborative and Therapeutic Assessment, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, reflecting her dedication to excellence. Elisa's quirky yet professional approach ensures compassionate care and transformative therapy, whether working with children, adolescents, adults, or couples on concerns ranging from marital conflicts, anxiety, depression, life adjustments, grief, trauma, and PTSD to managing ADD/ADHD. Elisa has submitted all hours towards her licensure and will be granted her LCSW-C any day!  Welcome, Elisa, to the Chesapeake South team, where our passion and expertise will undoubtedly make a lasting impact!

Sara began working at Chesapeake South in October 2023. Sara is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her MSW from University of Southern California. She has worked extensively in schools and non-profits providing therapy and case management services to children and youth. Sara is excited to continue working with both adolescents and adults, as well as working with issues surrounding pre-natal and post-natal care to address life’s challenges and mental health concerns. Sara has experience working with adjustment issues, life stressors, depression, anxiety, grief and trauma related challenges as well as other various issues that arise with children, adolescents and adults. 
Michaela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Towson University and a Master’s degree
in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She has experience working with a variety
of client concerns in hospital, community outpatient clinic, and detention center settings. Michaela
enjoys helping teens and adults increase their self-awareness, discover patterns, and build on strengths
they already have. In therapy, she focuses on anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, self-esteem,
emotional regulation, effective communication, and setting healthy boundaries. She works hard to
create a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients are free to express and explore their
true thoughts and feelings. Her clients describe her as down-to-earth, accepting, and direct.
